Credit By Exam

The College grants credit for passing scores on recognized examinations such as  the College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) and College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams, as well as from regionally or nationally accredited postsecondary institutions. No more than 75 percent of the degree requirements will be accepted. Additionally, transfer credit is not accepted toward completion of the Capstone Project graduation requirement. Transfer credit will be counted toward degree requirements, but will not be calculated in a student’s Doral College grade point average, and will appear on transcripts with a grade of “EC” for credit originating from an exam, or “TC” for credit originating from another postsecondary institution. Credit for which there is no direct equivalent in the College’s academic program will show as “Unspecified [Subject Area] Course.” For example, “Unspecified Humanities Course”.

All transfer credit must be evaluated by the Office of Admissions & Student Services, and approved. However, the Credit by Exam tables below provide guidance in determining how credit will be awarded. Credit transfer decisions should not be considered official until the appropriate paperwork has been submitted to the College and corresponding credit posted in the students’ record in the College’s Student Information System (SIS).
